This page explains what information Gutter Guy collects when you use this website or call us, and what we do with it.

The short version
This website has no contact forms, no accounts, no advertising trackers and no analytics. We set no cookies.
We learn about you when you call us. We use what you tell us to estimate, schedule and complete your gutter work.
Who we are
Gutter Guy is a gutter contractor based at 550 Gilletts Lake Rd, Jackson, MI 49201. You can reach us at (517) 993-9451.
In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Gutter Guy, and "the site" means gutterinstallationinjacksonmi.com.
Information you give us
When you call, we see your phone number. During the call you may give us your name, the address of the house, a description of the problem, and photos if you choose to send them.
If you hire us, we also keep the records a contractor has to keep: the estimate, the agreement, invoices and payment records.
Information collected automatically
Two outside services handle parts of every page load, and each one receives basic technical data from your browser.
- Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it logs your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and uses that to deliver the site and block attacks.
- Google Fonts supplies the heading typeface. Your browser fetches the font files from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser type.
We can't see who you are from this data and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors.
How we use your information
- To call you back and answer your questions.
- To measure, price, schedule and complete the work you ask for.
- To send your estimate, agreement and invoice.
- To follow up on a job we did for you.
- To meet legal, tax and licensing record-keeping rules.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We share it only where the job or the law requires it. That can include a payment processor when you pay by card, a building department or historic district commission when a permit or approval is needed, and government agencies when a law or court order requires it.
How long we keep it
If you call and decide against hiring us, we keep your details only as long as an open estimate needs them.
If you hire us, we keep job and payment records for as long as tax and licensing rules require.
Your choices
Call (517) 993-9451 and ask what information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it or delete it.
We'll do that unless a law requires us to keep the record, which is usually the case for invoices and payment records.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to outside sources, such as climate data, housing data and City of Jackson pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them.
Children
The site is written for homeowners and other adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information (for example, by adding a contact form or site analytics), we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
